DeAna Duffey - Chief Operating Officer

DeAna began her career with Practice Management Group in 2003, starting in the mail room, working her way through each department, serving now as Executive Vice President and COO.  Ground up experience offers valuable knowledge of how each department impacts our clients and their revenue.  DeAna offers both clinical and business experience in multiple disciplines of medicine which include Surgery, Anesthesia, Pain Management, Family Medicine, Hyperbaric Medicine,and Respiratory Care.

Subsequent to her experience as a Surgical Assistant at Richland Memorial Medical Center, DeAna’s employment with McLeod Regional offered administrative experience in Respiratory Care and resulted in developing billing guidelines for both in and outpatient encounters.   McLeod’s implementation of a multidisciplinary Pain Management program utilized DeAna’s experience to build a database of charges related to Pain Management encounters.

DeAna has worked closely with medical providers for twenty-eight years giving PMG a front row seat of the ever evolving clinical and business challenges medical businesses face.

Lisa Gouin - Chief Financial Officer

Lisa joined Practice Management Group in 2012 as a Staff Accountant, and was promoted to Controller in 2016.  Originally from New England, she gained her B.S. in Accountancy degree from Bentley College, and completed continuing education courses at Providence College.  Lisa worked for The McDonald’s Corporation for over 10 years – as an A/P Supervisor, Field Accountant and Regional Accounting Supervisor.  Lisa was responsible for the financial reporting of over 100 company owned restaurants, working directly with Regional Management on meeting Regional and Corporate objectives.  During her time with McDonalds she was recognized for her field work with under-performing restaurants, providing guidance and training to assist them in financial improvement. She received “The McDonald’s Way” award for her work on improving processes within the system wide accounting organization.

In 1998, Lisa and her family moved to SC where she worked for the Litchfield Company Reserve Golf Course as an Accountant, and then as Accounting Manager with Burroughs & Chapin – South Beach Resort.  Since joining Practice Management Group, Lisa has used her expertise in process review, financial analysis, and her inner drive to learn from those around her to gain her knowledge in the healthcare field.  She continues to follow the wisdom of Ray Kroc, founder of McDonalds: “None of Us is as Good as All of Us” and “As long as you are Green, you are Growing”.

Sheryl Morman - Director of Operations

Sheryl’s employment began with PMG in 2008. Over the past several years, she has gained an impressive knowledge in many of our departments which include,Customer Service, Medical Coding, Claims/EDI Manager, Assistant to Executive Vice President and COO.

Prior to coming to PMG, Sheryl worked for a Third Party Administrator in WV for sixteen years. During her employment, she held the positions of Medical Claims Examiner, Sr. Customer Service Representative, Client Contact and Medicare Secondary Payor Coordinator. During her employment, Sheryl was awarded with multiple recognition awards for outstanding customer service.

Sheryl thoroughly enjoys her position with PMG and is constantly researching and expanding her knowledge in the ever-changing healthcare industry.

 Tonya Carroll-Prew – Credentialing/Contracting Manager

Tonya Carroll-Prew joined Practice Management Group as a Credentialing Coordinator in 2011 and shortly thereafter became Credentialing Manager. Tonya came to us with a very established work history that included Blue Cross and BlueShield of South Carolina. Her 14 years of experience with Blue Cross BlueShield encompasses a variety of diverse environments which include all aspects of the health insurance industry. Her expertise ranges from Management, Training, Customer Service and Relations, Quality Control, Administrative Support and Team Building. During her 14 years she worked as a Medical Technician II, Case Worker, Refund Analyst, Senior QA Analyst and QA Manager.

As a Manager at PMG, Tonya possess excellent interpersonal skills accompanied with the ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner. Tonya is constantly researching ways to improve the efficiency of the Credentialing and Contracting process. She is passionate about her job and the Credentialing staff embraces the knowledge and experience she provides, how she provides it and the enormous benefits they receive from it.

Patty Vitello – Revenue Cycle Manager

Patty has been with Practice Management Group, LLC since 2011 as medical claims follow-up specialist. Patty offers over eighteen years of experience in both health insurance and business administration.

Patty received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and minor in Marketing from the College of Charleston. Subsequently she worked fourteen years in government programs at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. This included progression from Claims Operations and customer service to Project Coordination, then management of Customer Service and the Quality Assurance departments. It was during this time that Patty acquired the knowledge and experience in all aspects of the health insurance industry.

There are many cash flow challenges faced by practice management today. Changing payer rules and guidelines, soaring deductibles, increasing government mandates, and endless cascade of bureaucracy tied to payments to name a few. Patty’s experience in the health insurance industry and government contracts has equipped her with the knowledge and ability to successfully overcome these hurdles and maximize cash flow through professional accounts receivables management.

Lana Conley – Coding Manager

Lana joined PMG as a follow-up team member in 2017.  She has over 23 years of experience in the healthcare industry with extensive background in OphthalmologyExperience in the office setting including, patient meet and greet, surgical scheduling, finance, as well as liaison to the physicians

Certified Professional Coder since 2003 and  member of AAPC since 2003

Originally from Chicago moved to SC in 2016

Kyle Sawyer – EDI Manager

Kyle has been with Practice Management Group, LLC since 2012 as a medical claims follow-up specialist and website administrator.  Kyle has 15 years of experience in business management in the healthcare industry.

Kyle received his education from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communication and a minor in Business Management.  Kyle found his calling in the healthcare industry when he began working for and eventually managing his father’s optometry office Sawyer Vision Clinic.  The eleven years Kyle spent at Sawyer Vision Clinic  included all facets of small business management and set Kyle up for the transition to PMG.

Kyle has hands on experience with important aspects of the healthcare industry such as the Doctor-Patient relationship, Coding, Customer Service, Insurance, Sales, Scheduling, and Revenue Cycle Management.   Kyle’s experience and knowledge affords him the ability to successfully manage customer service while creating a desirable patient experience.

 Alisha Lemocks – Customer Service Manager

Alisha Lemocks joined PMG as a customer service representative in 2016 with several years of customer service experience in the hospitality industry. She wasted no time proving she has the right skill set as Customer Service Manager, providing exceptional guidance to her team members.  Alisha’s training and oversight insure your patient’s encounter with PMG is pleasant and a positive extension of our client’s services.  After all, we represent you.

James Webster – Asst. Revenue Cycle Manager

James joined PMG in 2011 as a follow-up team member with over 10 years of collection, customer service and claims processing knowledge.  Prior to PMG, James worked for BCBS Federal Employee Program in Roanoke Virginia for 5 years.  During his employment with BCBS, he was responsible for conducting claims audits and training new employees.

James is a natural fit as our Assistant Revenue Cycle Manager as he constantly strives to unleash the full potential of his coworker and client relationships by providing exceptional support and customer service.
